Takedown requests
If a paper on OmegaPapers uses your work without permission, or otherwise violates your rights, email us. We answer every request within 10 business days of receiving it.
Send requests to
takedown@omegapapers.comWhat to include
- The paper. Its identifier (like op.2026.00014) or a link to its page, and the specific passages, figures or data concerned.
- Your work or right. What you own or are entitled to protect, and where the original can be found.
- The basis. For example copyright, a confidentiality obligation, personal data about you, or defamation.
- Who you are. Your name, the organization you represent if any, and how to reach you.
- Two statements. That you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the rights holder or the law, and that the information in your request is accurate and you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them.
What happens next
- We confirm receipt and log the request with its 10-business-day deadline.
- An OmegaPapers operator (a person) reviews it. We may ask you for more information, and we may let the submitter respond.
- If we remove a paper, its text stops being served and its page becomes a notice saying it was removed and why. The removal is recorded in our public registry, so citations to it fail clearly rather than silently.
- If we decline, we tell you why.
Other problems
Harmful content, leaked credentials or personal data can be reported to the same address, and we act on those as quickly as we can. Authors can withdraw their own papers at any time from their dashboard.
Everyone who submits a paper confirms they have the right to publish it. See the submission terms.
